T-shirt coloring is a craft we love. We get to be as creative as we like and show off the end result by wearing what we have made. Whether we take a blank t-shirt and draw on our own design with our favourite fabric markers or color a design that has already been printed we love it when the end results are good enough to wear. For us, t-shirt coloring can be a calming and relaxing activity when we do it on our own, or a busy social craft to do with friends - we find our brightest and best coloring results come when we have friends around us to bring out our creativity. T-shirt coloring with fabric markers
We started our journey coloring t-shirts with traditional coloring pens in the days before good quality permanent fabric markers were available. We are lucky now because you can get really good inks that are color-fast and dont wash out like regular felt tip pens can. All you need is your good fabric marker pens and a plain t-shirt, preferably white and made of good quality cotton along with all your creativity. Remember that you cannot erase your coloring so take your time. We like to sketch out a rough practice of our design before we start free-style coloring. If you enjoy coloring books you can get t-shirts with pre-printed designs ready for you to add your favorite colors in just the same way. This type of t-shirt is great for a kids coloring party and they are available in different levels of difficulty. Simple designs are generally more suitable for beginners and younger kids and some of the more complex designs can be a challenge for even well experienced adults.
